Malibu Comics' Ultraverse gets a bold fresh start with this all-new #1, written by Warren Ellis with cover pencils by Steven Butler and inks by the legendary George Pérez. The cover assembles a striking lineup of Ultras against a fiery, chaotic cityscape — a cloaked, broad-shouldered leader dominates the foreground wielding a blazing energy sword, flanked by an armored figure glowing in gold, a green-faced wild card, a caped powerhouse looming behind, and a fierce red-haired woman in gold armor crackling with energy. "Wave of Mutilation" promises that this 1995 relaunch isn't playing it safe.
