Ulysse 1781 #2

A reimagining of Homer's epic transplanted to the 18th century, this second volume of Ulysse 1781 — subtitled Le Cyclope (2/2) — brings the confrontation with the one-eyed giant to its conclusion. Éric Hérenguel's cover art renders the Cyclops as a towering, wild-haired colossus looming through a mist-shrouded forest, dwarfing the small human figure standing defiantly at its feet. Xavier Dorison and Éric Hérenguel's 2016 Delcourt series continues to prove that ancient myth loses none of its menace when filtered through a darker, more grounded historical lens.
