Askja rows a kayak out to a hidden island where she is led by the girl in her dreams to a fortified bunker deep in the earth. Inside she finds the subjects of an old Soviet experiment, children that can walk between the worlds of life and death and have been using their powers to invade her dreams. The Russian sleeper agent catches up with Askja and tries to kill her for her discovery but her lover, Freyja, saves her life.
