Uncanny Tales #53
In "The Incredible Alliance Between Shiwan Khan and Atilla the Hunter!", Stan Lee and Steve Ditko deliver a bold, mystic twist on Arthurian legend, where Merlin’s enigmatic champion—a mysterious black knight—faces a scornful knight from the court in a battle of wits and will. When the challenger mocks Merlin’s power, the wizard’s quiet gesture turns the air itself to magic, reducing an empty suit of armor to scattered fragments in a single, stunning moment. Paul Reinman’s striking cover captures the clash of myth and might, making this a standout entry in the Uncanny Tales series.
