Peggy is unhappy when she learns that her dad has a new job in Canada because it means that she will have to leave Rodney. Rodney also plans to start a new life up north and plans to see her on the day he leaves. Peggy learns that her father's job has been deferred, but if she doesn't meet Rodney at the station she will have no way to contact him because he didn't want to write, believing it would just drag things out. However, due to a train derailment, she is going to be three hours late reaching London.
