“Beware of the Dog”

In "Beware of the Dog," Mary's ward flees with a precious family statue after being forced to sell it, jumping into the van of a buyer and driving off in a panic. When the van crashes, the owner’s sympathy turns to concern when the statue vanishes from the wreckage—leaving only a lingering mystery. Laurence Houghton’s expressive art brings the tense, emotional journey to life, capturing the quiet dread of a seemingly ordinary moment gone wrong.
