Valentine #2 October 1965
In "I've Got a Heart," Candy answers a job ad for an air hostess, only to find the "airline" is little more than a single plane and a shack. With a tempting offer from the desperate Brad and a moment of quiet courage from a shop clerk, she takes a surprising step—hiring the clerk as her secretary, setting a small but meaningful course in a world where kindness and opportunity aren’t always what they seem. The story, illustrated by Carlos Freixas, captures quiet moments of dignity and choice in a modest, grounded tale from 1965.
