Penultimate issue of this six-part DC Vertigo miniseries, written by Elaine Lee with art by William Simpson — and Phil Winslade's cover sets a fittingly tense mood. Under a moonlit Hollywood rooftop, a fierce dark-haired woman pins a bloodied, terrified man to the ground while a red-headed companion rushes in from behind and a third figure lurks in the shadows, a submachine gun visible at the edge of the frame. It's a snapshot of dangerous women in dangerous circumstances that makes "Blood Wedding: The Sequel" feel like a title entirely earned.
