Venom: Space Knight #8

Flash Thompson faces off against a menacing purple alien creature — all claws, fangs, and glowing red eyes — on what looks like a desolate rocky world, while an enormous shadowy figure looms ominously on the canyon wall behind them. Flash, sporting his Guardians of the Galaxy-era suit and a raised blaster, looks focused rather than rattled, which says a lot about where his cosmic adventures have taken him. Ariel Olivetti's cover work gives the whole scene a cinematic, almost painted quality that makes this 2016 chapter of Venom: Space Knight feel genuinely compelling.
