Venom: The Enemy Within #2
In "Part 2: King of the Goblins!", Venom and Morbius are pushed to the brink as they flee the escalating goblin threat into the haunted halls of Alcatraz. There, they uncover a chilling diary from a long-forgotten inmate named Charlie Palene, hinting at a dark secret tied to the goblins' origin—and a magic necklace that may be the key to their power. Written by Bruce Jones and brought to life with gritty detail by Bob McLeod (pencils and inks), with Tom Smith’s moody colors and Diana Albers’ sharp lettering, this 1994 Marvel classic sees the tide turn as the goblins crown their new leader, Demogoblin, setting the stage for a battle beyond the prison walls. The cover by Bob McLeod captures the dread and intensity of the moment.
