The cover, by Pete Alvarado, captures the festive chaos of the event.

Inspired by tales of Christopher Columbus, Tigger organizes a "'Round the Worl' Runathon" for which the participants must "...run straight ahead, all the way 'round the world [to where the starting line also] becomes the finish line". As the contestants are to run straight through obstacles, rather than avoid them, the Runathon quickly becomes a race of attrition with a most unexpected winner emerging in a most unexpected way.
