“The Day Duckburg Got Dyed”

In "The Day Duckburg Got Dyed," a spilled ink mishap sends Donald's nephews scrambling to Gyro Gearloose for help—only for a mix-up to send a batch of his experimental dye straight to Donald, who mistakes it for bug powder meant to clean the city reservoir. Written, drawn, and inked by Carl Barks, this classic tale blends slapstick chaos with the whimsy of Duckburg’s everyday oddities, all captured in vibrant colors by the Western Publishing Production Shop. The cover, by Paul Murry, perfectly captures the story’s zany energy.
