Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #518
In "Allworth and No Play," Dr. Primly Allworth—self-styled guardian of morality—launches a crusade against comic books, all while profiting from his own bland, sanitized children's tales. When an unemployed Donald takes a job as Allworth’s proofreader, the clever trio of Huey, Dewey, and Louie have a surprise in store. Written by Daan Jippes and Geoffrey Blum, with art by Freddy Milton and Daan Jippes, and a cover by Daan Jippes, this 1987 issue from Gladstone delivers sharp satire with a classic Disney twist.

Dr. Primly Allworth, self-proclaimed leader of a group dubbed the "Guardians of Morality", leads a Fredric Wertham-like crusade against comic books. But, like many demagogues, there's a profit motive behind his moralistic tirades. In Dr. Allworth's case, he is the author of squeaky-clean and deadly-dull children's books that he pushes while denigrating comic books. Seeking quick cash, an out-of-work Donald temporarily falls-in with Allgood, taking a job as his proofreader, but those champions of the lowly comic book, Huey, Dewey and Louie, give their Unca Donald and the Doc their comeuppance.
