“The Flunk-Outs”

In "The Flunk-Outs," young 16-761's violin lesson takes a wild turn when his older brothers hijack the trip to target Scrooge's money vault—only to fail, get locked up, and escape using the off-key notes from his playing. With a cake from 38-38-38 as their next weapon, they stage a third attempt, but Scrooge’s response sends them rocketing to a distant planetoid. Written by Vic Lockman and illustrated by Kay Wright, this 1974 Western comic features a delightfully chaotic caper with a cover by Kay Wright and Larry Mayer.
