Walter Lantz Woody Woodpecker #145
In "Spy Train," Woody Woodpecker stumbles into a comedic mix-up when his playful costume and showy antics at Sparadime Junction’s annual old-time festival lead two unsuspecting thieves to mistake him for the wealthy Colonel Gobbs O’ Money. Written by Carl Fallberg and brought to life with energetic art by John Carey—pencils, inks, and lettering—this 1975 Western Publishing gem captures Woody’s signature chaos in a lighthearted caper. The cover by Jack Manning and Bill Wright perfectly captures the zany tone of the story.
