“Roller Coaster Anticipation”

In "Roller Coaster Anticipation," the ocean takes a dramatic stand against pollution when it erupts in frustration over the constant trash dumped into its waters, sending Chilly the penguin tumbling off his fishing spot. With help from the personified forces of nature—Daddy Drink (the ocean) and Gustov Wind (the breeze)—Chilly teams up to outwit the real culprit: Boorish Bully Bear, the main source of the mess. Written by Vic Lockman and illustrated by Phil De Lara, this playful, eco-conscious tale brings the elements to life in a whimsical showdown, with Bill Weaver’s dynamic cover capturing the chaos in full motion.

The ocean literally rebels against the great amount of trash that is continually thrown into it, to the extent that it throws an anthropomorphic fit while Chilly is peacefully fishing, shaking the penguin up. Boorish Bully Bear is the primary source of the litter, so Chilly helps “Daddy Drink” (the ocean) and “Gustov Wind” (the cloud/breeze) turn the tables on the litterbug-bear.
