Set in 2002, Jacob, Tony, Paul and Norman are kidnapped by the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda and made to join their forces as child soldiers. The boys try to remain loyal to each other and look for an opportunity to escape, but are forced to perform terrible acts; even after their escape, they remain troubled by their memories.
