“Trick or Treat”

In "Trick or Treat," a desperate old scientist gambles everything on a radical experiment to reclaim youth and win the heart of a woman he loves—using a machine to merge his body with the spirit of a young man who died in a car crash. Sal Trapani’s expressive art brings the eerie transformation to life, capturing both the scientist’s fleeting hope and the creeping dread of his unraveling fate. Bernard Baily’s haunting cover perfectly sets the tone for this chilling tale of ambition, mortality, and the price of second chances.

An old scientist wants to be young again to woo a woman he's in love with. He invents a machine that will allow his body to merge with a spirit from the afterlife. He is able to absorb the spirit of a young handsome man who was killed in an auto accident. When he tries to live his life in his new body he finds out that the man had a weak heart and this causes the scientist to die of a heart attack. While his body is dead, his mind still functions and he is trapped in living death as he gets buried.
