Western Comic Album #4
"Buck Jones and the Camel Men" kicks off with a tense, grounded tale of greed and desperation in the Yukon, as the dying Old McAllister’s discovery of a rich gold vein sets a deadly race in motion. Written by Gaylord Du Bois and brought to life with rugged, expressive art by Alberto Giolitti, this Western Comic Album standout features a stark, atmospheric story that unfolds from a single, fateful death. The cover by Walt Howarth captures the grim urgency of the moment, a perfect match for the story’s hard-edged tone.
