Where Monsters Dwell #37
In "Behold -- the Monster!", Stan Lee and Steve Ditko deliver a clever twist on Earth's strangest promotional stunt: a giant papier-mâché monster unveiled to hype a movie. Unbeknownst to the creators, the creature's image is picked up by an alien scout ship, where its bizarre form triggers panic in the invading commander—leading to an unexpected retreat. The cover by Gil Kane and Vince Colletta captures the moment with dramatic flair, making this 25-cent 1975 Marvel gem a standout in the series.
