Wolverine Magazine #1
In "Citadel," Wolverine takes a daring flight to Canada with Kitty Pryde, sparking concern at Xavier's School when it appears he's aligning with the Canadian government. Teaming up with Alpha Flight, Logan confronts a group of dying Weapon X experiments holding the governor general hostage, uncovering a past he'd rather forget. The mission takes a personal turn when Shaman tries to save Citadel, a former test subject now encased in adamantium—only to face a loss that echoes through Wolverine’s own history. Written by Fred Van Lente and illustrated by Clayton Henry, with a striking cover by John Cassaday, this 2009 issue blends high-stakes action with emotional weight.
