“The Ares Assault”

In "The Ares Assault," Wonder Woman races to prevent a global catastrophe as she deciphers the true power of Harmonia's talisman, uncovering its link to the looming threat of World War III. With the help of Etta, Julia, Matthew, and Steve, Diana uses the talisman’s mirror connection to confront Deimos and Phobos in a high-stakes battle that leads them to a hidden missile base and the shocking presence of General Tolliver—and Ares himself. George Pérez and Len Wein deliver a gripping, visually rich tale, with Pérez’s dynamic art and Tatjana Wood’s bold colors bringing the chaos and heroism to life, all capped by a striking cover by Pérez.

Diana figures out that Harmonia's talisman warns of World War III and that by joining the image on the talisman to its opposite in a mirror she is able to take Etta, Julia, Matthew, and Steve to face Deimos and Phobos. When Diana cuts off Deimos' head and recovers the other half of the talisman, Phobos flees. Joining the two halves of the amulet, the group is instantly transported to a missile base where they face General Tolliver and finally Ares himself.
