Wonder Woman: Year One: The Deluxe Edition #[nn]
In "Year One Part One," Wonder Woman's origin takes a bold new turn as Hippolyta calls an Amazon council to decide how to respond to Steve Trevor’s arrival on Themyscira. With tensions rising and opinions divided, Castalia’s belief that the gods have sent him as a sign leads to a decisive tournament to choose the Amazon champion who will accompany Steve to the outside world. Written by Greg Rucka and brought to life with striking art by Nicola Scott—both in pencils and inks—this pivotal story captures Diana’s first steps beyond paradise, setting the stage for her destiny. The cover, also by Nicola Scott, beautifully frames this moment of transformation.
