When the police question Johan, unaware that Boris is hiding, the old mirror maker offers him a mysterious artifact—a magic mirror capable of altering one’s appearance. As Boris experiments with the mirror, transforming into younger and older forms, the consequences grow more dangerous than he could have imagined.
In "The Next World," Benton, Drake, and Lewis find themselves trapped in a surreal realm where reality bends in unsettling ways—first walking backward, then living in houses built on their sides. When one of them can no longer endure the disorientation, he takes his own life, only to awaken in a new world where everything is inverted and even the animals have turned predator.
In "The Enemy!", a lone theropod hatchling emerges from an egg in a forgotten cave, its first steps into the world marked by wonder and fear. After a brutal clash with a mechanical intruder from a distant film crew, the creature flees back to the safety of its underground home, forever changed by the encounter.
