The main story, "Trouble Pass," depicts Wyatt Earp confronting the outlaw Pfister after a young man named Tod, whom Earp has mentored, becomes involved in a gunfight. When Earp discovers that Tod has been set up by the dangerous gunslinger Durango, he sets out to track down Pfister and eliminate the threat. The story culminates in a showdown where Earp must deal with both Durango's manipulations and the danger posed by the outlaw element threatening the territory he is sworn to protect.
