Sebastian Shaw hires Omoto to go after X-51. Omoto kidnaps Peter Spaulding --an old associate of X-51's-- to lure X-51 out of his satellite housing. During the battle, X-51's nanites upgrade him again, making him more than a match for the Japanese mercenary.
