In "Soul's End," Nightcrawler wields the Soul Sword to break Witchfire’s hold on Wolverine and Colossus, but the villain’s ritual with the five bloodstones unleashes ancient elder gods. As the X-Men fight the cosmic threat, Magik, Pixie, and Mercury confront Witchfire in a desperate bid to stop her. With Pixie shattering the amulet, the gods are banished—but not before Witchfire takes pieces of Pixie and Illyana’s souls with her. The issue closes with Magik choosing to stay with the X-Men, her fate forever changed. Written by C. B. Cebulski and illustrated by Giuseppe Camuncoli, with inks by Jesse Delperdang, colors by Marte Gracia, and letters by Dave Lanphear, the cover by David Finch and Danny Miki captures the chaos and intensity of the battle.

Nightcrawler pulls the Soul Sword from Illyana and uses it to free Wolverine and Colossus from their possession by Witchfire. Witchfire uses the five bloodstones to open a portal and summon the elder gods. Wolverine, Colossus and Nightcrawler battle the gods while Magik, Pixie and Mercury take on Witchfire. Illyana has Pixie smash the amulet containing the bloodstones which banishes the elder gods back to their realm. Witchfire goes with them, taking pieces of Pixie and Illyana's soul with her. Magik returns to Earth and is convinced to stay with the X-Men.
