The X-Men are powerless as a cadre of Sentinels attack X-Mansion but the giant robots quickly leave as they don't register Xavier's students as mutants anymore (a meteor wiped out their powers last issue). Realizing that the Sentinels are going to try and take out Wanda and Pietro next, they give chase and their powers come back stronger than ever just in time to save their friends. Easily defeating their foes with there supercharged powers, the X-Men have to send the meteor back into space so their powers will return to normal before they become even more detached from humanity.
