The X-Men arrive at the lair of the Cossack to find he has turned Illyana Rasputin into the evil Black Magik. While the rest of the team tries to hold off Cossack's Tartar werewolves, Kitty attempts to get 'Ro to safety. Illyana catches up with Kitty and invites her to join into an alliance with the Cossack in exchange for new dark powers. Kitty is transformed into Firecat. Meanwhile, back at the mansion, Beast and Jean share a dance, Nick and Xavier discuss the fatal flaw in the mutant gene and Sabretooth kills a rogue SHIELD agent who is trying to send intel on Cerebro to the Consortium.
