“Cry with Johnnie Ray!”

In "Cry with Johnnie Ray!", fighter pilot Tommy and nurse Jean share a fleeting romance in San Francisco before he’s deployed to Korea. After a crash landing leaves him with amnesia, Tommy can’t warn his comrades about a looming Communist buildup—until a heartfelt performance of the song "Cry" by singer Johnnie Ray reignites his memories. Doug Wildey’s expressive art brings the emotional stakes to life, while Ed Goldfarb and Bob Baer’s cover captures the song’s poignant power.
