Zipper #3
In the tense aftermath of a brutal assault in a liquor store parking lot, Detective Maki struggles to maintain order as Zipper—unpredictable and powerful—steps in to stop a thug who’s just severed the man’s hands. Just as the situation spirals, Etherian hunters arrive, targeting Ral with ruthless precision, forcing Zipper and his unlikely allies into a desperate defense. The chaos unfolds under the glare of a news crew’s camera, capturing every moment as Deveroux moves closer to a war no one fully understands. Written by Tom Waltz and brought to life with sharp, dynamic art by Casey Maloney—pencils and inks on the cover by Maloney—this issue blends visceral action with rising dread, all set in a world where the line between protector and threat is dangerously thin.
