Hole-in-the-Head Hill
7 pp · war

When Samuels, the young recruit of the misfit 2nd Squad, is captured by Chinese forces during fighting at Hole-in-the-Head Hill in Korea, his squad mates—a ragtag group of rejects and troublemakers—decide to mount a rescue mission through enemy lines. With artillery smoke cover and napalm support from Marine Corsairs, the squad fights their way into the Chinese valley position where Samuels is being held. As the battle rages and reinforcements threaten to overwhelm them, the squad must fight their way back out with their man.

Trapped
1 pp

A machine gun squad of Marines fighting a desperate holding action in Korea finds itself cut off and running dry on ammunition—until an unexpected arrival offers a last-minute lifeline. Written with the kinetic energy typical of Charlton's war comics, "Trapped" captures the tension of soldiers pinned down behind enemy lines, watching their final belt of ammo tick away. When salvation arrives overhead, these three leathernecks seize their one chance to escape the closing noose.

Old Chiselchin
7 pp · war

A young soldier witnesses Colonel Haskins—"Old Chiselchin" to the men—take a direct hit from Nazi 88s while crossing a deadly stretch of Italian road, and volunteers to lead a rescue mission into the valley below despite the relentless artillery fire. As his platoon pushes toward the wrecked jeep, they discover the Colonel alive but wounded, and must hold their ground against a German patrol while calling in air support to silence the guns pinning them down. It's a story about a harsh commander earning the respect of his men through sheer will and their own courage under fire.

Seminole
1 pp · war

In 1816, U.S. troops launch an assault on a British-built fort on the Appalachicola River, sparking conflict with the Seminole Indians in Florida—a clash that would reshape the nation's grip on the region. When tensions reignite in 1836 under Marine Commandant Archibald Henderson, the conflict escalates into one of America's costliest Indian wars, fought across the treacherous Everglades against a determined foe.

Tushari's Gun
8 pp · war

Three Marines—Cpl. Tush Barrow, PFC Luke Tallant, and Johnny Lees—are tasked with reaching a ridge under cover of darkness to fire a signal flare that will launch a major division attack at dawn. Standing between them and the objective is Tushari, a skilled Japanese machine gunner dug in at the ridge with orders never to abandon his post, forcing the patrol into a desperate firefight as they attempt to complete their mission. With grenades, grit, and quick thinking, the three soldiers must find a way through relentless gunfire and a reinforced Japanese position to get that flare off before H-hour.

Advance Guard
1 pp · war

On the eve of D-Day, frogmen infiltrate Normandy Beach to plant explosives against German fortifications while avoiding enemy patrols. After completing their demolition work, these soldiers volunteer to stay behind and provide crucial support when the landings begin, taking out machine gun positions from behind enemy lines. This is a tense account of the advance guard whose dangerous preparatory work made the invasion possible.
