This anthology issue contains three stories: "Scamp," in which the mischievous red dog chews a slipper, gets chased by the family, encounters a baby's shoe, and causes chaos at a shoe factory before running away; "Splash Page and the Grey Rocket," where reporter Splash Page and assistant Jill Brent investigate the mysterious Grey Rocket motorcycle, discovering it has been sabotaged and pursuing it across the countryside to stop the menace; and "Buck Jones and the Wild Hills," in which young Hetty suspects her stepfather Jake Brawn of being a crook and leaps over a cliff to escape him, eventually hiding out and obtaining evidence against him with help from Buck Jones. The issue also includes "Don Deeds," featuring Hoo Sung's scheme to trick Don into helping retrieve the Great State Diamond from a secret passage, and "Bunter's Brainwave," a text story about the schoolboy Bunter's encounter with a ruffian and a mysterious "cosh."
