Luzon Landing
8 pp · war

When thirty paratroopers jump behind enemy lines in northern Luzon to destroy a well-hidden Japanese tank depot and ammunition caves, only three men survive the drop—and they land on the wrong side of a flooding river. Stranded deep in enemy territory with seemingly impossible odds, Cpl. Vogel and his two companions devise a desperate plan to use the very landscape against the Japanese forces guarding the installation. This 1962 war story follows their audacious attempt to complete a mission that thousands of lives depend on, where survival itself becomes secondary to the objective.

Apgood's General
8 pp · war

PFC Joe Apgood finds himself separated from his unit and trapped behind Nazi lines in North Africa, but when a German general arrives to set up a crucial military operation, the resourceful young soldier seizes a desperate opportunity. With quick thinking and nerves of steel, Apgood manages to take the general prisoner—only to discover that his captive holds intelligence that could turn the tide of the entire campaign. What begins as a scramble for survival becomes something far larger than one soldier's escape.

G.I. Diplomacy
8 pp · war

Sgt. Boots Budlong and his two soldiers—Cpl. Jose Figuera and Pfc. Swifty Doheny—are assigned to protect Immanuel "Papa" Guitirriez, a former Cuban revolutionary and anti-communist advocate, during a diplomatic tour of South America. When communist operatives and Castro loyalists make increasingly violent attempts to capture Papa, the three G.I.s must use all their training and teamwork to keep their charge safe from international enemies. A tense race against the clock pits the small American detail against overwhelming odds in a mission where failure could reshape the region's political future.
