In "null," the Masked Marvel faces a web of betrayal when freed criminal Anton Roche is recruited by three rival gang leaders—ZR, ZY, and ZL—to hunt him down. As the gang leaders scheme to outmaneuver each other with coordinated attacks, the Masked Marvel sends his agents to intercept them, leading to a tense showdown where loyalty is tested and one leader doesn’t make it out alive.

When test flights of the Winthrop Aircraft Company's new D-63 pursuit plane end in tragedy—each pilot killed in a mysterious crash—the Masked Marvel arrives to investigate, suspecting foul play rather than a design flaw. After discovering the test pilots were actually shot down by a sniper, the Masked Marvel devises a daring trap: he'll pilot the fifth D-63 himself, hidden in the plane's body while a dummy cockpit draws fire from the foreign spy saboteur. With the help of his operatives ZR and ZY, the Masked Marvel prepares to expose the conspiracy and prove the revolutionary fighter jet worthy of the U.S. Army.
