Everett Johns arrives in a frontier town with nothing but peaceful intentions—he wants to buy the Carter Ranch and settle down quietly. But when he discovers that the ruthless Arch Lester and his gang have terrorized the town into submission, Johns finds himself forced to stand his ground, even as Lester's thugs destroy his new property and the local law refuses to help.
