War Comics #14 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "Back from the Dead" depicts Robert Lovett, a man mistakenly convicted of a crime, escaping from prison with help from a mysterious voice through a prison telephone system, only to discover he must evade both police and the criminal underworld. "Hereward the Wake" follows the legendary Saxon hero in a fantastical encounter with magical beings in the woods. "Corky Scrubs and His Wonderful False Leg" is a comedic naval tale in which a British sailor with a prosthetic leg engages in various wartime adventures, including encounters with enemy submarines and invasions.
