Abara is a dense, visually arresting science fiction series from French publisher Glénat, launched in 2007. Over its two-issue run, it introduces a world of biomechanical horrors and cryptic conspiracies, anchored by the distinctive, intricate art of its creator. Though brief, the series stands as a concentrated burst of Tsutomu Nihei’s signature architectural-scale storytelling and bleak, high-concept body horror.
