Adieu Birkenau

In 2024, Splitter Verlag launched Adieu Birkenau, a single-issue comic that confronts the harrowing history of Auschwitz-Birkenau through a deeply personal lens. This French graphic novel, written by the Auschwitz survivor Ginette Kolinka and author Jean-David Morvan, adapts Kolinka's own testimony into a stark, illustrated narrative of her deportation and survival. Illustrated by Victor Matet and Efa, the book is a powerful act of witness, using the comic medium to preserve a firsthand account of the Holocaust for a new generation.
