About the series
Archie Comics’ Adventures of the Jaguar (1961–1963) was a 15-issue superhero series chronicling the exploits of mild-mannered college student Ralph Hardy, who could transform into the costumed, super-powered Jaguar. Written primarily by Robert Bernstein, with art by John Rosenberger and Creig Flessel, the series was part of Archie’s early-1960s push into the superhero genre, offering a brisk, youthful take on the classic secret-identity formula. Though short-lived, it remains a fondly remembered example of the publisher’s Silver Age ambition.
