Agent X9

From 1998 to 2019, Hjemmet/Egmont’s Agent X9 was a long-running Norwegian comic series that compiled stylish espionage and adventure stories, most prominently featuring the resourceful heroine Modesty Blaise. The series drew heavily on the classic work of writer Peter O’Donnell and artists Jim Holdaway and Romero, while later issues incorporated contributions from writers like Rune Larsen and Archie Goodwin, with art by Al Williamson. Spanning 222 issues, it served as a vital showcase for sophisticated, globe-trotting crime and spy comics, preserving the legacy of these characters for a dedicated Scandinavian readership.
