Air Mail

In this short-lived 1987–1988 German series from Carlsen Comics, Attilio Micheluzzi—who also wrote the series—drew a globe-trotting 1930s adventure with Uta Schmid-Burgk co-writing. The three issues follow the exploits of a pilot navigating political intrigue and danger across exotic locales, rendered in Micheluzzi’s distinctive, atmospheric art. Though it ran only three issues, Air Mail stands as a polished, mature European adventure comic by a celebrated Italian creator.
