About the series
From 2005, Avatar Press published Alan Moore's Hypothetical Lizard, a four-issue series that explores a bizarre, reality-bending premise through the writer's signature philosophical and darkly humorous lens. Co-written with Antony Johnston and illustrated by Sebastián Fiumara, the story follows a man who, after a strange encounter, finds himself able to perceive and interact with the hypothetical "lizard" that evolution left behind, leading to a surreal investigation of consciousness and existence. This compact, mind-bending work showcases Moore's ability to blend scientific speculation with visceral storytelling in a distinctive, creator-owned project.
