Alan Moore's The Courtyard

From 2003, Alan Moore and Antony Johnston scripted this two-issue miniseries for Avatar Press, with Jacen Burrows providing the unsettling artwork. A precursor to Moore's later "Neonomicon" and "Providence," it introduces an undercover FBI agent investigating a series of bizarre, drug-fueled murders, plunging into a world of Lovecraftian horror and conspiracy. Its stark, visceral storytelling marks a key entry in Moore's return to cosmic terror.
