Aldobrando

Aldobrando, a medieval fantasy series from Casterman, launched in 2019 with a single issue. Created by writer Luigi Critone and artist Gipi, the story follows a young orphan raised in isolation by a reclusive wizard, whose quiet life is shattered when his master is gravely wounded. The series is notable for Gipi’s evocative, watercolor-infused artwork, which brings a lyrical, painterly quality to this intimate coming-of-age quest.
