A long-running French gag strip launched in 1976, Allez les Trouffions follows the misadventures of a squad of hapless soldiers in the French army, blending slapstick humor with military satire. Created and drawn by André Guerber, the series originally appeared in the pages of Pilote magazine before being collected into albums. With its single-issue debut, it established a tone of affectionate mockery toward military life that would sustain it for decades.
