Alpha Comics

From 1977 onward, Alpha Comics, published by New Dimensions in Education, presented a six-issue series of educational comic books designed to make learning engaging for young readers. Each issue blended colorful storytelling with curriculum-focused content, covering subjects like science and history through the adventures of relatable characters. While the series is short, it stands as an early, thoughtful example of using the comic medium as a classroom tool, predating many later efforts to merge entertainment with education.
