Amálgama

In 1997, Editora Abril launched Amálgama, a four-issue comic series that blended characters and concepts from Marvel and DC into a shared Brazilian-published universe. The series is most associated with writer Chuck Dixon and artist Dave Gibbons, who helped shape this crossover experiment alongside contributions from Estúdio Nankin, Jim Balent, and Mike Wieringo. Though short-lived, Amálgama stands as a distinctive, officially licensed fusion of two iconic superhero lines, offering a unique snapshot of 1990s publishing collaboration.
