American Gods

In 2018, Splitter Verlag launched a German-language comic adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, with the story shaped by Gaiman and P. Craig Russell, who also provided the art alongside Scott Hampton. The series translates the novel’s mythic clash between old and new deities into a visual medium, bringing its sprawling, atmospheric narrative to a new audience. With only a single issue released thus far, it stands as a compact but faithful entry in the long-running tradition of adapting Gaiman’s work to comics.
