About the series
In 2010–2011, IDW Publishing released a compact three-issue comic series simply titled Angel, bringing the brooding vampire with a soul back into the spotlight. Written and illustrated by a creative team that included Scott Tipton, David Tipton, and artist Elena Casagrande, this series explored a new chapter for the character after the events of the television show. While brief, it offered fans a focused, self-contained story that captured the dark, supernatural tone of the Angel mythos.
